Okay so i wanna tell you guys about this website called myclassnews that my school just started using and honestly it’s kinda good but not perfect or anything lol. I mean its really helpful for students and teachers and even parents but it got some probs too which i’ll explain.
So basically myclassnews is this online thing where teachers can post all the updates about homework, tests, class events and whatever. The cool thing is that students and parents can check it anytime without having to ask the teacher or your friends all the time. Like before we used to get all the info by just writing in notebooks or hearing from others and sometimes things get missed or confused. Like if you were sick or just forgot, then you’re screwed. But now with myclassnews you can just log in and see whats new anytime so it helps a lot with not missing stuff.
One time i totally forgot about a homework cuz i didnt write it down properly and it got me in trouble, but now i never miss homework because it’s right there on MyClassNews so u can always check again if u forgot something. Also sometimes the teachers post pics or videos from field trips or class parties and it’s kinda fun to see even if you weren’t there.
But there are some annoying things too. The website or app can be super slow sometimes, like it takes forever to load and sometimes it crashes if too many people try to get on at once. Also the notifications dont always work well, sometimes u get a lot all at once and other times u dont get any and then u miss something important. That’s really annoying honestly, they should fix that ASAP.
Also the design is suuuper boring, its just plain and grey or whatever. I think if it looked more colorful or had some emojis or cool icons, maybe more people would actually like to use it. Right now it looks kinda old and boring and that makes people not wanna check it as often.
Another thing I wish it had was like a calendar that connects with your phone calendar so you get automatic reminders for tests and projects. Right now you have to write the dates yourself or keep checking the website and thats so easy to forget especially if u got a lot going on. So a calendar sync would be awesome and make it way easier to remember everything.
Parents really like myclassnews tho cuz they can see what homework or tests their kids have without bothering them all the time. My mom said she feels less stressed now cuz she can check it and know what’s going on in school. That way she can help me more and remind me about stuff i forget. I think that’s really good because sometimes parents dont really know what their kids do in school and this makes it easier for them.
Sometimes the teachers post really long messages or they write in a confusing way cuz they are busy or just writing quickly. So it’s better if they keep it short and clear so everyone understands easily without having to reread or ask. Like sometimes I have to read the same message twice to get it and that’s annoying when ur in a rush.
Also if the teacher forgets to post updates, then it’s kinda useless. So everyone has to be responsible and use it properly. It only works if both teachers and students actually check it regularly.
One more thing is some students just dont bother to use it much cuz they are lazy or dont care, and then they miss important stuff. I think schools should make people use it more or remind them more so nobody misses out.
Overall tho, MyClassNews is a really good idea and pretty helpful for schools. It helps students stay organized, parents stay informed and teachers save time not having to repeat everything over and over. Even with some bugs and a boring design, it’s way better than no system at all.

At the end of the day, staying connected about school stuff is super important and MyClassNews kinda makes it easier. I’m glad my school started using it and i hope they keep fixing the problems and adding new stuff to make it better.
So yeah, if you wanna avoid forgetting homework, be more organized and keep your parents happy, give myclassnews a try. It’s simple and useful but just needs some improvements to be perfect. If your school doesn’t use it yet, maybe tell your teachers or principal about it, it could really help everyone.
